I conceived, directed, produced POWER AMPLIFIED entirely myself, from initial creative concept and art direction through to AI filmmaking, editing and music score.

Created for the Formula E Creators Challenge 2026, a global AI filmmaking competition organised by Bionic Awards in partnership with Google Cloud and Formula E, POWER AMPLIFIED won a Runner-Up Award in the Flow Innovator category, with the film premiering at London's BFI IMAX.

The challenge was to create a 60-second film showcasing Formula E's most powerful race car yet - the GEN4.

Rather than produce a conventional motorsport film, I wanted to take a completely different approach. Something with the energy, edge and attitude of a punk rock music video.

The idea was simple: electric guitars meet electric racing.

Screeching guitars, raw distortion and the explosive energy of a live band mirror the extraordinary power and performance of the GEN4 car. The car becomes part of the performance, creating a visceral collision of music, motorsport and attitude.

The ambition was to take Formula E beyond traditional racing imagery and give it a fresh, culturally relevant edge that could connect with a new audience.

Created using Google Flow, Nano Banana Pro and Veo 3, the project was an opportunity to explore the creative potential of AI filmmaking, bringing together concept, art direction, cinematography, editing and sound design.
